Drum/Percussion Teachers

Brian J. Buckmaster has taught percussion for over 20
years and at Cameron's since 1995. Brian earned his
Bachelors Degree in Music Education and majored in
percussion at Eastern Michigan University and then
completed course work for his Masters at EMU. Since
1995 Brian has taught elementary music for the Ypsilanti
Public Schools. Brian has a diverse background in music
and has been involved in a variety of school and
performing music organizations. Brian's
drumming has taken him with performing groups to
Russia, Europe and Walt Disney World in Florida.
Brian has become a requested teacher by area band
directors because of
his thoroughness in preparation of students in technical
proficiency and in solo ensemble work. Brian has a large
library of solo-ensemble pieces for his
students to perform. He is very flexible in the content of his
lessons and as a full-time teacher has the ability to adjust
a lesson according to the interest and ability of the student.
He incorporates computer technology in his lessons and
keeps a running record of each students progress. On
request by the parent can provide excellent references for
potential new students.
DAVE BILITI started drumming when he was ten years old
after hearing Green Day's latest album, Dookie. Since he
was too young to afford a drum set he constructed his own
out of cardboard boxes. The sound quality was terrible,
but with the purchase of a real drum set he was soon on
his way into the world of drumming. From then on, all he
has wanted to do was play drums. He studied privately
with Mark Mead, who also taught Chad Smith of The Red
Hot Chili Peppers. After 11 years of private study, he
recently graduated from Oakland Community College with
an Associate's Degree in Music Composition and Music
Theory. He has played with mulitiple bands and has
recoreded over 100 songs and is highlighted on seven
CD's.
